ENVID/HAZID Studies and ALARP Workshops
Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Environmental hazard Identification (ENVID) are often performed in early project life to ensure that hazards are identified early. This allows effective hazard management for key hazards at the earliest time when changes are easier (and cheaper) to implement.
HAZOP / Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and LOPA
Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) are commonly used in order to demonstrate that all potential causes have been covered by a project and all potential consequences are acceptably mitigated. High consequence events are analysed deeper via LOPA and key safeguards are interrogated with further integrity levels assigned (if required).
Bespoke Risk Management and Assessments
Often, a project/facility will have a specific challenging risk that they are struggling to work through / justify a decision. SCW Engineering has experience of putting together bespoke risk management workshops to bring structure and coherence to complex risk management.
Process Safety Support (Process Safety philosophy, framework development, FSA, Design code gap analysis/compliance)
Sometimes it’s hard to find the right expertise to plug specific process safety gaps. SCW Engineering has experience of providing process safety specialists that are able to plug specific gaps.
