Bespoke Risk Management and Assessments
Often, a project/facility will have a specific challenging risk that they are struggling to work through / justify a decision. SCW Engineering has experience of putting together bespoke risk management workshops to bring structure and coherence to complex risk management. In addition, SCW Engineering has also been involved with incident investigation and root cause analysis/bow tie development.

Here are some examples:
-
Several clients have asked us to justify location and provision of isolation valves in subsea installations. A number of key factors play into these studies (installation location, water depth, dropped object studies, dispersion and release studies, types and size of release, ignition and occupancy).
-
We have arranged workshops assessing the inputs and options culminating in a technical decision paper outlining the options, impacts and a recommendation. We have performed general workshops bringing together lessons learned databases, existing industry data and holistic project risks to develop the early phase project risk registers.
-
Risks associated with overtrawlability of installed equipment is a common concern in subsea projects, we have held a number of workshops assessing overtrawlability options and scoring this risks to facilitate a decision on the final level of protection.
 -
We have performed investigation into a near miss safety incident, performing detailed root causes analysis and development of what if studies and bow ties to demonstrate that this would no longer be possible.
